After breaking her unequal blood pact with the vampire Ambrose, Helen is pursued and protected by Ambrose's uncle, Alaric. The two overcome Ambrose's persistent advances, Cordelia's machinations, and Mary's interference, finally marrying in the castle cathedral. After offering her blessings, Ambrose departs, and Helen and Alaric share a kiss under the moonlight.
